This is a quite unusual round box that was originally made to hold cigarettes that has an applied equestrian logo set into the lid.  This was originally made to house cigarettes by French powerhouse; Hermès. ONce the lid is removed the interior includes the original removable dividers. This can be lifted out, or removed completely to allow the storage of other items. The interior divider is also designed to slightly lift out the cigarettes for easier access to them.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe body of the box is covered in black, French, calf leather that was used by the brand throughout its accessories line. The lid of the box features a beautifully sculpted brass horse shoe, that also adds the extra element of gold colour to the box.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe piece was made by the French manufacturers Ravinet D'Enfert.  They were large scale, very high end, silversmiths in France and were contracted by Hermès to make home goods for the luxury atelier during the mid 20th Century.  This exact piece can be found signed cobranded Hermès as well, and retailed through their boutiques.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOverall, this is a stunning box for all vintage Hermés lovers and equestrian fans. The box is in excellent condition throughout. It is fully stamped on the base with both Hermés Paris, and the makers mark for \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eRavinet D'Enfert.
