A Day
Observed

A story presented by

Scene 1:
‘Morning’

It was a bright cold day with glassy surfaces that looked hard.
Into the square frame he stood as if in a dream.

What emerged was precisely what he expected to find: a reflection of memory images. Contemplating his face in the photo frame he waited.

By the steady hands of his watch, he listened to time. Every day for the past sixteen days he saw her. Silver lingered in the crease of
an open book.

So absorbed in his thoughts
he hardly saw the platinum catch-all, the key, or the revelation locked inside those lapis lazuli cufflinks tossed unmistakably in cold blue.

His gaze fell on the letter opener. By accident she had learnt more about his life from the contents of that letter than anywhere.

A leather Chanel 19 crossbody handbag. The Chanel 19 crossbody is one of the house’s most important modern silhouettes: introduced in 2019 and developed as a final handbag project associated with Karl Lagerfeld, in collaboration with Virginie Viard.

Its name follows Chanel’s own code, “19” for 2019, and its design language nods to the freedom-of-movement idea behind the 2.55, but translated into something softer and more relaxed. The visual signatures are immediate: oversized quilting, an XL leather-laced double-C turnlock, and a tricolour “gourmette” chain mixing finishes for a deliberately modern, slightly undone feel.

As a crossbody, it wears exactly as intended: easy, lightweight on the shoulder, with the option to pick it up by the shorter chain when you want it closer in hand. It is a contemporary Chanel classic that still reads as unmistakably Chanel from across the room.

The bag is presented in brand new condition, with no use or wear. There is no damage to be found and the interior is clean and free of wear or staining. It comes with the original card and Chanel dust bag and outer Chanel box. An iconic Chanel bag that has joined the pantheon of classic Chanel classics now in an eye catching colour. The bag was made in 2019.
