Even if they were issued with other manufacturers watches by the M.O.D. Rolex introduced a number of "Air" branded watches; "Air Giant", "Air Lion","Air Tiger" and this the "Air King". The "Air King" is perhaps the best known model in this series, and the only one that has stood the test of time, still featuring in the Rolex stable today. This model is powered by the classic Rolex calibre 1520 automatic movement, with the case marked 5500. This refernce was introduced in 1957 by Rolex, with this example having 5.5 million serial number, dates to being manufactured in 1978. This 5500 model shares the same case the Rolex Explorer I and measures 34mm (not including the crown) which is also the same size case used in the Rolex Date model. The watch comes on a Foundwell, hand made Italian, US Cordovan leather band.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0689/2617/products/0001-A_3a47172e-0ea5-40af-b893-74537fabcfa7.jpg?v=1437846793
omega
Omega Seamaster
A fantastic example of a mint condition, all original, stainless steel Omega Seamster diving watch from the late 1960s. This example has the Mark I dial with closed 6's in the depth rating, and the 'L' in Rolex perfectly centered under the coronet. The model was soon upgraded to the 16800, which saw the introduction of a sapphire crystal leaving this model with a fairly short production run of between 1976/7-1979; however, some later serial numbers do show up. Such is the Rolex way! The dial and perfectly matched hands are in excellent condition with no flaws and a pleasing, very light, ivory patina to the lume. The case condition is also very good with no major wear, having been very lightly polished over the years, but the case lines remain very sharp and thick. The correct fat font bezel insert is in tact and starting to show a beautiful dark charcoal fade, with no scratches of pit marks. The watch is fitted with an earlier, post 1973, folded link Rolex Submariner Patented diver extension bracelet with flip lock. A 9315 model, with 380 end pieces. The bracelet's excellent condition also adds to the value of this watch, as these bracelets fit the mid '70's Red and Double Red models, as well as being made through to the late 1970's. The case is fully stamped inside and out with the model number 1680 on the case back, and between the lugs. The serial number of the watch is a 5.6 million dating it to mid 1978. The punched paper work matches, and has the original 1680 Rolex case back sticker attached to it. The correct green plastic Submariner hang tag accompanies the set. The watch is powered by the Rolex automatic 1570 movement in excellent condition and keeping perfect time. A rare chance to own a complete and very clean iconic and collectible time piece.
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0689/2617/products/0004-A_b4fa6aae-8760-4b24-ba22-70f97c41305f.jpg?v=1437510845
hamburger-cufflinks
Hamburger Cufflinks
A very novel pair of cuff links which are comprised of individual pieces of hand cut and dyed agate stacked to create the perfect hamburger. eighteen carat white gold. This is an early example of the third reference of this iconic, and arguably game changing model for Rolex. The watch was first introduced into the Rolex line up under the reference 6511 in 1956, and a year later was re-modeled as the 6611 and featured the Rolex calibre 1055 movement. This model ran until 1959 when the 1803 reference was introduced with a new movement again. This time the 1555 calibre. This is the movement fitted inside this model. The 1803 model with this calibre only ran until 1965 until, once again, it was updated. This time Rolex fitted the 1556 calibre. Therefore this is a fairly rare watch with a short production run. This was very much a luxury time piece in the early 1960's, and white gold production was less of that of yellow gold. This example is in excellent original condition, with the movement and case and in superb, original condition. The case back still has the Rolex case back sticker still in tact. The dial is untouched, and shows no sign of wear or damage. The day of the week wheel in this example is written in Spanish, which is less common. The serial number of this watch is 123XXXX which dates it to The helmet, eagle’s head and sword were soon turned to their current position. This pair has the helmet facing the 'sinister' side, thus dating them pre-1923. Made in America by the U.S jeweller Krementz and are in a low grade gold, perhaps around ten carat.
Foundwell
.73 / The large quartz stones set in each of the center of the links are stunning and contain very eye catching pieces of rutile. Rutile is a major ore of titanium and it is this metal that causes the spear like inclusions in the quartz. Rutilated quartz has been referred to as Cupid's darts, Venus hair stone and Fleches d'amour. It is said to enhance peoples strengths and creativeness, and be a healing stone. The cufflinks are unmarked by any maker, but are stamped K18 for eighteen carat gold. European made, and date circa 1960's.

An early pair of sterling silver cufflinks. These double sided cufflinks were made by Danish silversmith, Georg Jensen. This is an unusual pair of Jensen cufflinks as the normal design standard for the silversmith was to have a standard, plain silver 'whale tail' style back. However, this pair has the same detailed panel on each side. The cufflinks are stamped 925 for sterling silver, they have the registration number of B.62 and the earlier Jensen GJ makers mark dating this pair for being made in Denmark between 1933 to 1944.
A pair of solid eighteen carat gold, hand made cufflinks in the form of four hearts. These wonderful cufflinks have a gentle concave shape to the hearts and beautifully finished soft, rounded edges all the way around. The links have a hand engraved a hand engraved message of "14th Feb. 1949" on the inside of one of the hearts, indicating that these were initially made as a precious valentines gift. Each panel has a full set of Japanese marks on, as well as '18k'. Due to the scarcity of raw material in Japan it is very rare to find items of precious metal jewellery from this country. Especially after World War Two. Due to that, there is little way to identify the marks. However, due to the hand engraved message, it is safe to say they were made in the 1940's.
Foundwell
.645 /
