A solid fourteen carat yellow gold chain, or necklace. This is a stylish and interesting foxtail link chain. It is connected by two rows slant links which usually form as a square and so looks like a fox's tail. The necklace features an unusual tongue style clasp with folding safety catch. The link is quite unusual highly attractive and thick and heavy for a smaller thickness of chain. These chains wear so beautifully and feel very comfortable on the skin, and how they move.

On the clasp itself it is stamped with "14K" for fourteen carat on the clasp and "Italy". for having been made in Italy, as can be seen from the photograph. This is a very high quality chain, and has a great weight to it, weighing over thirty grams. It is twenty inches in length and 4.35mm thick, a really beautiful example. Made in Europe, circa 1970's.
